The country is a major producer of coffee, soybeans, corn and sugar, and became a major player in this sector. The country is the world’s second largest producer of sugarcane and soy and produces approximately one third of the world’s coffee beans.

In the past few years, Brazil has received a great investment in their agricultural sector, with large hedge funds invested in agricultural land. This investment enabled Brazil to use modern agricultural equipment and new technologies from leading companies and manufacturers, such as John Deere.
